Merging Reports

Merge Reports Video Script

Hello, and welcome to the AgWare ClickForms merging reports tutorial video.  In this video I will explain the steps needed to merge reports.

If you are appraising a multi-tract property, you will need to prepare each tract in a separate container and then merge all of the containers together.  To do this, you will need to ensure that the separate reports are complete prior to the merge.  No special page numbering is necessary, however, you will need to confirm that the pages to be omitted from either the table of contents and/or page numbering have been check-boxed accordingly in the page properties dialog box.  To start a merge, you will need to begin with a new, empty report container and add the introductory forms that you need such as the definition of value, area description, property location map, etc.  Click on the documents tab on the ribbon and click merge files.  This will open a directory window.  Select the report you want to start with and click open.  You would then repeat the merge files process until all of your desired reports are in this container.  Each new merged files group will be added at the bottom of the forms manager, so it’s important to merge the files in the order you would like them to appear in the report.  While it is possible to rearrange forms in a merged report, AgWare does not recommend that you do this.  If you need to edit a form or mistakes are found after a merge, delete the merged portions of the report, make the changes to the original report files, and then redo the merge.  It is critical to follow these steps, because any change you make in the merged report will cause miscalculations and errors throughout the whole container.  Make sure you save your file with a name that will allow you to identify it as the final version of the multi tract appraisal.
